This Communion prayer video will help you take Communion at home alone or give to your family. During these times of COVID-19, I was called as a pastor to make available resources for you to use to continue to worship the Lord at home. During my ongoing prayer, God speaks and I listen. Times are changing, and so is His church. I heard the calling for a full online church service for you to lead at home using our website as one of the many tools in God's tool-shed: cconlinechurch.com. Changing times requires an open mind. Please pray about it.
Communion uses bread as a symbol for Jesus’ body and wine or juice as a symbol for His blood. Jesus himself started the tradition of communion. He instructed His followers to use bread and wine to remember the sacrifice He was going to make when He died for our sins on the cross (1 Corinthians 11:23-26). This is a time of worship. It’s a time of remembrance, celebration, and reflection.
In Communion, we become participates in the Blood of Christ and the Body of Christ, and in Christ’s saving death. Jesus calls communion the New Covenant in his blood. Communion renews our commitment, our covenant relationship with Christ, which by default, renews our relationship with his body, the church. Communion unites us with other believers. We come to the Table having confessed and reconciled in silence with our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Communion is for any person who has believed in or trusted the Lord Jesus Christ alone for his or her salvation. Remind that is it also good for a person to examine themselves before the Lord at this moment.
